This illustration is loosely based on town I was living in at the time, in North Derbyshire. Rich with stone buildings, impressive viaducts, and canals; against a backdrop of amazing Peak District scenery.

I’ve tried to represent the place with an unusual palette, simple geometric shapes, and light textures.
